Paller’s Walk-Off Grand Slam Seals Dramatic Win Over Vibes

Thursday night's contest got off to a hot start with nine combined runs scored in the first inning. Casey Peterson doubled and Dusty Stroup homered to put Rocky Mountain ahead by three, but a six-run bottom of the first highlighted by Tyler Wyatt's grand slam put Idaho Falls up 6-3. The Vibes put up five runs in the top of the seventh with an RBI single from Peterson and a couple of two-RBI doubles from Jacob Barfield and Edmond Americaan, to tie the game at 11. That score would remain until Robb Paller hit a walk-off grand slam to win the game 15-11, securing a second straight win for the Chukars. Paller finished the game with three hits and six RBIs. Five Rocky Mountain players had multiple RBIs, with Dusty Stroup leading with three. Idaho Falls moves on to play Ogden while Rocky Mountain is set to begin a series with Boise.
Missoula 7, Glacier 3: Paddleheads' Pitching Shuts Down Range Riders in Pride Night Victory
Dondrei Hubbard's RBI triple got the scoring started in the bottom of the second for the Paddleheads. Gabe Howell's two-run home run in the top of the fifth tied the game at three for Glacier. The Range Riders wouldn't score another run. Kelvan Pilot allowed three runs and five hits with five strikeouts in five innings, and the Missoula relievers didn't give up a run, combining for nine strikeouts in four innings. Each reliever pitched an inning, with Mark Timmins and Mark Simon striking out all three batters they faced. Four Paddleheads players had RBIs while Howell led the game with two RBIs for Glacier. However, Glacier played sloppily, committing six errors which proved to be the difference in this one. The Paddleheads look to continue dominating their series with the Range Riders on Friday night.
Ogden 12, Boise 3: Raptors Rout Hawks With Impressive All-Around Performance
The Raptors had a handle on this game early, going up 9-0 in the third inning. They scored three in the first off of an RBI single from Resse Alexiades and a two-run home run from Juan Teixeira. They then scored six in the top of the third, with Teixeira hitting for his third RBI of the game while Cameron Phelts and Dakota Connors each picked up two. Phelts would finish with four RBIs en route to a 12-run performance from the Ogden offense. Raptors starter Jake Mullholland pitched seven innings, giving up three runs and striking out seven, earning him the win. Jon Rice and Chase Stratton each pitched scoreless innings for Ogden. Raymond Gil led the Hawks with three hits and two RBIs, though it wasn't nearly enough. The Raptors will play the Chukars and the Hawks will host the Vibes beginning Friday night.
Billings 5, Great Falls 3: Mustangs Win Fourth Straight in Close Game With Great Falls
While the Voyagers took the early lead, all Billings needed was a four-run fourth inning to win. A Lance Logdon solo homer and Tyler Wilber two-run single put Billings ahead 4-2. The Mustangs' pitching was impressive with starter Pat Maybach only giving up two runs while striking out six batters in six innings. The relievers that followed Maybach gave up just one run, with Hunter Schilperoort earning the save. Riley Jepson, Ryan McCarthy, and Jaylyn Williams all had RBIs for the Voyagers, with Wilber leading all players with two RBIs in this one. This series now moves to Great Falls, with the Voyagers looking to rally behind the home crowd to earn their first win of the series.
