In the first game of their three-game series against the Hawks, the Jackalopes defended their home turf by banging out 20 hits in an 11-3 victory
In the first game of their three-game series against the Hawks, the Jackalopes defended their home turf by banging out 20 hits in an 11-3 victory. Grand Junction scored early and often – Joe Johnson cracked a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning, and Kokko Figueiredo followed with a two-run shot of his own in the second. In the fourth, Ron Washington Jr. hit a bases-clearing double to extend the lead to 7-2. Washington added a solo homer in the sixth inning and finished the night a triple shy of the cycle. He wasn't alone in that category – Figueiredo also was just a triple short of the cycle. Austin Chouinard and Jacob Cruce both collected three hits, with Cruce reaching base a team-high five times. Trey Morrill struck out seven over five innings, and Diego Jordan, Anthony Bloebaum, and Connor Barton combined for four shutout innings to secure Grand Junction's fourth straight victory.
Great Falls 15, Glacier 1: Williams, McCabe Show Out as Voyagers Trounce Range Riders
The Voyagers appear to be shaking off their recent losing streak well, as they wasted no time jumping on the Range Riders Tuesday night. Jaylyn Williams brought home a run with a single, and Eddie McCabe capped off a five-run first inning with a three-run homer. Williams added a two-run homer in the fifth inning, and McCabe's RBI single in the seventh inning extended the Voyagers' lead to 9-1. Great Falls padded their lead with a six-run eighth inning, which featured a two-run single by Williams and another RBI knock by McCabe. Both McCabe and Williams drove in five runs, with McCabe collecting three hits against his former team and Williams racking up four. This offense was more than enough support for Tyler Naumann, who allowed just one run and five hits with one walk and five strikeouts over seven innings. The Voyagers have now won three of their last four games.
Billings 5, Northern Colorado 2: Mustangs' Pitching Staff Keeps Owlz in Check, Bats Rally Late for Win

After the Owlz drew a run closer in the top of the eighth, RBI singles by Luke Fennelly and Lance Logsdon padded the Mustangs' lead. Tyler Statler pitched a scoreless ninth inning to rack up his fourth save of the season.

On the mound, Alfredo Villa allowed two runs and nine hits while registering 12 strikeouts. At 19-6, the PaddleHeads still have the best record in the PBL by a country mile.
