The PaddleHeads were on fire out of the gate with all their runs being scored in the first four innings, behind multiple RBIs from Patrick Chung, Cameron Thompson, and Jacob Kline, as they added 14 runs to the scoreboard before the sun was even set in Missoula. From there the Range Riders were tasked with erasing a ten-run deficit in the next five innings, in which they put up a valiant effort. The Glacier bullpen only allowed 1 hit for the rest of the game and the offense added three-run homers from Jackson Raper and Kingston Liniak in their comeback attempt. Boise 7, Great Falls 6: Gil's Two Home Runs Power Hawks to Victory Over Voyagers
After breaking their six-game losing streak back on Wednesday the Voyagers suffered a tough loss on Friday against the Hawks. Great Falls started well going up 4-0 in the top of the second, but for Boise, it was Raymond Gil who kept them alive time after time in this one. Gil chipped away at this deficit immediately hitting a home run in the second, got the Hawks back in it with his two-RBI single in the third, and tied it up at six with his second homer of the game in the seventh. Along with Gil, Gavin Correll was key to the win as well pitching four and third innings of long relief duty while only allowing two hits. Finally, to win any sports contest you got to have a little luck and that's how it happened for the Hawks as they scored the eventual game-winning run on an error in the bottom of the eighth. The Voyagers will try and spoil another potential streak tonight at 7:05 vs the Hawks.
