Adam Rodriguez: "Can you give me a specific from the pitching stance you're going to remember?
Kellen Brannon: "To put my glove where my armpit is, like to catch and then put my arm where armpit is and then throw."
Voyagers who are in the middle of their own season took time out of their schedules to mentor these young athletes. For them, its a chance to give back to the game they love.
"Yeah, I mean in one word, it's a blessing. You know like, it's everything that i learned was passed down to me. And I'm just doing the same for the kids, you know i just try to keep it as simple as possible," said Voyager pitcher Kenny Carrillo.
The camp wasn't just about drills and techniques, it was also about building confidence and making lasting memories. For many of these kids, this was an experience they'll cherish forever.
"I mean, I always tell them, like, if you see me, all you're doing is you're just looking at yourself in the future you know? But you could probably go farther than me," said Carrillo. "But, you know, I just try to tell them, like, you're going to face adversity. You're going to face hard times. And, you know, it happens like it's part of the game."
The Nike baseball camp was more than just a camp, it was a steppingstone for the young athletes, paving the way for their future in baseball.
