PBL Pitcher of the Week - Week 1 - Jona Giblin
Each week, the Pioneer League will recognize one hitter and one pitcher whose performance led their teams. The Players of the Week awards highlight the top contributors across the league during the 2026 season.

Pitcher of the Week: Jonah Giblin, Glacier Range Riders
Giblin earned Pitcher of the Week honors after going 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and nine strikeouts across 11.2 innings in two starts. He opened the season with 5.2 innings at Great Falls, allowing two unearned runs while striking out three in Glacier's 14-2 win, then followed it with six innings of two-run baseball and six strikeouts in a 5-2 victory at Billings. Through Week 1, Giblin ranked tied for first in the league in wins and games started, second in innings pitched, and fifth in strikeouts.
With the Arizona State Sun Devils in 2025, Giblin worked out of the bullpen and posted a 4.29 ERA over 35.2 innings with 41 strikeouts, 15 walks, and a .248 opponent average. In his first week with Glacier, he showed starter's durability, strike-throwing ability, and the poise to limit damage — exactly the kind of tone-setting presence the Range Riders needed to begin the season.
