This Week in the PBL (June 8 - 14)
With nearly a month of the 2026 season complete, the Pioneer Baseball League standings are starting to take shape. Here's our latest look at how all 12 clubs rank based on their performance through June 14.
Billings Mustangs (18-5)
Billings won four of six games against Glacier. The Mustangs opened the series with a 6-4 victory behind home runs from Adam Cootway and A.J. Shaver before Glacier evened the series with a 12-10 win.
The June 11 game ended in a tie at 4-4 before Billings won the knockout round.
The Mustangs also erased a four-run deficit in a 10-5 win on June 12 before closing the series with a 3-2 victory in Sunday's finale.
Billings travels to Missoula this week for three games before hosting Great Falls for three games.
Boise Hawks (16-8)
Boise won five of six games against Idaho Falls and scored 60 runs during the series. The Hawks opened the week with victories of 10-5 and 8-3 before Idaho Falls earned a 13-5 win on June 11.
Boise responded by taking the final three games of the series. Logan Meyer drove in six runs during a 17-10 victory on June 13, while the Hawks collected 14 hits in Sunday's 8-2 win.
This week Boise travels to Idaho Falls for three games before returning home to host Ogden for three games.
Glacier Range Riders (14-10)
Glacier finished 2-4 in a six-game series at Billings. The Range Riders earned wins of 12-10 and 18-11 while dropping four games.
The June 13 victory was Glacier's highest-scoring game of the week. Tommy Rover drove in five runs as the Range Riders scored 18 runs on 18 hits.
This week, Glacier travels to Great Falls for three games before returning home to host Missoula for three games.
Great Falls Voyagers (9-15)
Great Falls split its six-game series with Ogden, finishing 3-3 on the week. The Voyagers opened the series with a 22-13 victory, hitting eight home runs and scoring 10 runs in the sixth inning.
Anthony Swenda drove in five runs during the opener, while Will Rogers homered twice. After dropping the next three games by scores of 6-5, 15-10, and 10-9, Great Falls won the final two games of the series.
Chris Peguero struck out 11 batters in a 13-10 victory on June 13, and the Voyagers followed with a 17-14 win on Sunday after scoring 10 runs over the final two innings.
Great Falls will host Glacier this week for three games before traveling to Billings for a three-game series.
Idaho Falls Chukars (2-21)
Idaho Falls finished 1-5 in a six-game road series against Boise. The Chukars dropped the first two games before recording a 13-5 victory on June 11.
Justin Trimble hit two home runs and drove in three runs in that win, while Idaho Falls collected 17 hits. Despite the series result, Idaho Falls scored 46 runs across the six games.
Idaho Falls returns home this week to host Boise for three games, then hosts the RedPocket Mobiles for three more.
Long Beach Coast (19-5)
First place Long Beach went 4-2 against Modesto during a six-game home series. After dropping the opener 4-3, the Coast won four consecutive games.
The June 12 shutout featured five Coast pitchers combining for 14 strikeouts, including Garrett VanDeventer, Ryan Faulks, Jake Dixon, Steven Ordorica and Jaxon Byrd. At the plate, Cuba Bess drove in three runs while Eddy Pelc homered in the 8-0 victory.
The series finale ended tied 6-6 after 10 innings. Jacob Jablonski hit a three-run home run and drove in three runs for Long Beach, while Eddy Pelc recorded two hits and an RBI. Modesto later secured the knockout-round victory.
This week, Long Beach travels to Oakland for three games before returning home to host Yuba-Sutter for three games.
Missoula PaddleHeads (13-11)
The PaddleHeads spent the week hosting the Oakland Ballers for six games at home, going 2-4 in the series against the Ballers. After winning Tuesday night after a weather delay, they went on to lose the next two 17-12 and 12-7. On Friday night, Missoula won 15-3 walking 15 times. Their pitcher, Jaren Jackson, tossed 6.0 innings allowing three runs on six hits, striking out seven Ballers.
This week the Billings Mustangs will visit Missoula to begin the week, then the PaddleHeads will travel to Glacier to take on the Range Riders over the weekend.
Modesto Roadsters (13-11)
The Roadsters were in Long Beach this past week to take on the Coast for all six of their games.
After winning the first game of the series 4-3 on Monday, Modesto dropped the next four games to the Long Beach Coast, before winning the series' finale Sunday 7-6. In that win, Corbin Talley went five innings allowing three earned runs. Aaron Moreno earned the win pitching the next two innings without a runner scoring.
The Roadsters travel back to Modesto to host the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds for three games to start this week, then travel to Oakland to take on the Ballers to finish the week.
Oakland Ballers (11-13)
In Missoula, the Ballers dropped the first game of the series by a score of 17-5, before winning four of the next five. Oakland scored 29 runs over two games Wednesday and Thursday, hitting nine home runs, bringing their team total for the season to 50, second best in the league.
The Ballers will be hosting the Long Beach Coast to begin this week facing them three times, then hosting the Roadsters for the last three games.
Ogden Raptors (13-11)
The Raptors hosted the Great Falls Voyagers for six games this past week, splitting the series three games apiece.
After losing their first game 22-13, they won their next three. On Thursday, the Raptors scored 15 runs with the help of Cole Jordan hitting two home runs, giving him eight on the year, good for second in the league.
This week, Ogden will play host to the RedPocket Mobiles, then travel to Boise to take on the Hawks to finish the week.
RedPocket Mobiles (5-19)
The Mobiles spent the week at Yuba facing off against the Freebirds for six games, scoring 35 runs across the first two games in which the Mobiles hit 10 home runs with Jordan Harrison-Dudley hitting three himself, totaling four so far this season. Gianni Horvat is still on fire with his average at .391.
Going 2-2 in the last four games of the series, the Mobiles' pitching dominated in their win Sunday night. The staff allowed only one run with Ubaldo Romo starting the game; he went five innings and struck out four.
This week the RedPocket Mobiles will be traveling to Ogden for their first three games, then going to Idaho Falls to play the Chukars for three more.
Yuba-Sutter Freebirds (10-14)
The Freebirds were at home last week hosting the RedPocket Mobiles for a six-game set.
Yuba began the week at 8-10 looking to get above .500; however, they dropped three of the first four against the Mobiles. On Saturday, the Freebirds won 12-11 with Andrew Bergeron hitting a home run as well as driving in the winning run in the eighth inning with a single.
This week the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds will travel to Modesto for the first three games then travel to Long Beach for three more games.
